I thought I should make a deep and personal ask...
Q: Your religious Views?
A: I've become a hardcore athiest lately, waving my logic boner in everybody's face.
Q: Have you ever self-harmed? Why?
A: Yes, actually. I went through a period where I'd get uncontrollably emotional, and suffer through intense bouts of self-loathing as a result; I'd slap, hit, and pinch myself.
Q: Relationship with your father?
A: Usually rocky but good. I'm not sure right now, it's sort of awkward.
Q: Relationship with your mother?
A: Better on the surface but possibly more superficial.
Q: Who is your most loved person?
A: I refuse to answer a question that carries on the belief that love is finite. I can love more than one person if I want to.
Q: Have you ever been bullied?
A: Yep. High school, yay! (Not.)
Q: What is your sexuality?
A: ...That's gonna take more than a one-liner. Free-wheeling, voracious, curious. Heteroflexible? I like looking at women, for certain. I'm more attracted to people and personalities than any particular gender. I'm polyamorous and kinky. In particular I identify as submissive and something of a masochist, and we'll leave it at that for the time being (although ask if you want more details).
Q: Who makes you the happiest?
A: Willy Wonka. Both of my boyfriends make me happy in different ways. And so do my cats. And me!
Q: What is the most heroic thing you've ever done?
A: In what way? The *bravest* thing I've done, was, I think, getting an abortion. That was for me.
Q: What calms you down when you're upset?
A: Cuddling, physical reassurance. Art in various forms, if I'm by myself.
Q: Have you ever fallen in love?
A: Numerous times.
Q: Had your heart broken?
A: Scuffed up a bit, maybe.
Q: Have you been betrayed in the past? How?
A: Not really? Although I do feel as though my parents have betrayed me in certain ways.
Q: Who do you miss the most?
A: My grandfather.
Q: Have you ever attempted suicide?
A: Not as of yet.
Q: Share a secret?
A: I got to touch a starfish :3

“When the web started, I used to get really grumpy with people because they put my poems up. They put my stories up. They put my stuff up on the web. I had this belief, which was completely erroneous, that if people put your stuff up on the web and you didn’t tell them to take it down, you would lose your copyright, which actually, is simply not true. And I also got very grumpy...
am i an adult now?
Sometimes it feels like I used to be a different person.
When I was in Kindergarten, I apparently wanted to be a dentist. I liked centres, “Baby Beluga”, and snacks. When I was in junior high, I was devout. At sixteen, I thought I’d fallen in love, was smart, and knew what I wanted. It only lasted so long.
When I left home and started university, I felt nervous, but nonetheless...

Hey guys. Let’s talk about purity. I was raised in a Baptist church in the Deep South. I had a purity ring, and most of my bookshelf was stuffed with titles about “wearing white” and being “pure” and do you know what? The choice to not have sex...

So, I had an interesting conversation at work the other day. One of my coworkers asked, “So, you have two boyfriends?” “Yup.” I replied, not sure where she was going to be heading with the comment. “So… how does that work?” I could hear the skepticism in her voice, but the lack of outright disdain caused my panic to subside a bit. “Quite well,...

“When my confident, curious, adventurous 12-year-old daughter asked if she could go get ice cream by herself (we live in a city) the first thing that I thought of was how to prepare her to hear: “Where’s my smile, baby?” “Wanna go for a ride?” What if she is surprised? Looks down? Doesn’t give the guy speaking to her the positive response that he seems to think he’s entitled...

so we went to the muppet movie...
OH MY GOD IT WAS AWESOME.
I had been pretty “meh” about the entire thing until about two minutes into the movie, by which time i had completely fallen in love with it. It was delightful and hilarious, full of nostalgia but also fresh and shiny. I spent most of the movie tugging on Daddy’s arm and shrieking with laughter. I’m definitely going to have to buy it…

I’m pretty sure she didn’t go into the classroom and introduce herself as “Sasha Grey.” I’m pretty sure she used her non-performing name. Just a thought.
Another thought: Even if the kids asked her what she did, I’m sure she told them “I’m an actress.” Or “I’m a model,” since I think she does photography now.
Chances are, the kids aren’t...

I’m posting this in full, because I am literally stunned this was posted on Fox News. Emphasis mine:
Critics of the growing Occupy Street movement complain that the protesters don’t have a policy agenda and, therefore, don’t stand for anything. They’re wrong. The key isn’t what protesters are for but rather what they’re against — the gaping inequality that has poisoned our...
